Pediatric Therapy Services (PTS)
Whole Kids Educational Support
Partnership
Pediatric Therapy Services (PTS) partners with schools to help develop, strengthen, and maintain Exceptional Student Education (ESE) programs by providing both Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Therapy services within the school setting.
Our team collaborates closely with administrators, teachers, and families to support students’ success in the classroom while reducing the coordination burden on school staff. PTS manages:
-
Student screenings and evaluations
-
Therapy scheduling within the school day
-
Parent communication and consent
-
Documentation and progress updates
-
Insurance billing and payment coordination
-
Collaboration with teachers to support classroom carryover strategies
If a student is already receiving OT or Speech services at an outside clinic, our team can assist families with transitioning services into the school setting. This helps maintain continuity of care while making therapy more accessible during the school day.
With extensive experience working in school environments, our therapists provide engaging, goal-directed sessions tailored to each child’s individualized needs, while supporting educators with practical strategies that can be used throughout the school day.
How It Works

Meet the Team

Stephanie King, COTA/L
Director of Whole Kids Educational Support Partnership
Hi, I’m Stephanie! I am a Licensed and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with nearly three years of experience providing individualized pediatric therapy in both clinic and school-based settings. I completed my Level II fieldwork at Pediatric Therapy Services (PTS), where I worked in both pediatric outpatient and private school settings, supporting children ages 2–16 with various developmental needs.
As Director of School Programs, I work closely with schools and families to help build and maintain supportive therapy programs that allow students with developmental delays, cognitive differences, or learning challenges to succeed in the classroom and beyond. I serve as a liaison between PTS and partnering schools, helping coordinate services, support implementation, and ensure communication remains clear and collaborative for both educators and families.
I have extensive experience supporting students with pre-writing and handwriting development, reflex integration, problem-solving skills, executive functioning, and much more. I enjoy creating sessions that are both engaging and confidence-building for the children I care for. I prioritize helping each child feel comfortable and successful in therapy by building strong relationships, incorporating play-based learning, and providing the right balance of structure and creativity to support optimal growth and learning.
My goal is simple: to help every child feel capable, supported, and ready to thrive—both in school and in everyday life!

Josie Kalbaugh, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Hi, I’m Josie! I am an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with nearly two years of experience working at PTS, where I have supported my pediatric patients with a wide range of communication needs. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida.
I have worked with children of all ages and abilities, including those with articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, expressive and receptive language deficits, auditory processing disorder, hearing loss, fluency disorders (stuttering), and Down syndrome. My diverse experience has helped me learn how to tailor therapy to each child’s unique strengths and challenges. I have previous experience working in a school setting, where I learned to develop goals that support students’ participation and success in the classroom while aligning with educational instruction. I always aim to create engaging, functional therapy activities that promote carryover into everyday school and home environments. I am passionate about building strong relationships with students and collaborating closely with families and educators to ensure consistent support across settings. My goal is to help each child build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and reach their full potential!
