PTS Policy
Yes, PTS requires all patients to have a referral for treatment.
Our front office staff will help you with scheduling your first appointment over the phone. Your first appointment will be only for the evaluation, however after the evaluation is conducted we will go over scheduling with you. We pride ourselves on not doing an evaluation if we do not have treatment room available on the schedule as well.
Once the appointment is scheduled you will be conducted to complete our New Client Forms conveniently located on our website. These must be completed no later than 24 business hours before the evaluation date, this is to ensure our therapists have time to review the paperwork and prepare for your child’s evaluation appropriately.
Our front office will call and confirm your first appointment with you and go over out of pocket costs once all paperwork has been finalized and insurance benefits have been confirmed.
We allow one hour for the evaluation, please plan accordingly.
Once the evaluation has been conducted, if treatment is recommended, treatment typically will begin two weeks after the evaluation.
Generally, our scheduling is recurring (same day/time every week), however we do offer a call-in option if you are not able to commit to every week or your schedule changes on a weekly basis.
We have a 24-hour notice policy for cancellations
If you need to cancel an appointment outside of open office hours you may leave a voicemail. Voicemails are checked daily first thing in the morning, and right after returning from lunch.
Do not email or tell your therapist to cancel an appointment, always call or speak directly to the office
If your child is sick (running a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, pink eye, etc) do not bring them to the clinic. General rule of thumb is; if you would not take them to school, do not take them to the clinic. Some illnesses may require clearance from the pediatrician stating they are no longer contagious
If you are going out of town please let us know in advance so that your appointment is not marked as a no-show
