TheraSuit helps Bloomingdale Library attack survivor relearn how to move her body

LAKELAND — She fights to move.

With her eyes straight ahead and feet flat on the floor, she lets the suit act as her muscles. A physical therapist guides her body from side to side, then forward and back.

On Saturday April 23, 2011 Pediatric Therapy Services participated in the 1st annual Jaylen's Challenge Blue Ribbon 5K Run/Walk.  Team PTS was a strong presence with Runners and Walkers.  Thanks to Anna, Andrew, Nicole, Trista, Jarred, Amy, Kathy, Graham, Raechel, Dayton, Sean, Chad, John, Nolan and Jocelyn. Denise, Kathy and Dave manned the PTS info table and cheered the finishes. Nicole and Sean won their age divisions and finished second overall!  Cheer, Cheer. 

Jaylen's Challenge Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to promoting awareness and prevention of bullying through education and community service.  Pediatric Therapy Services were pleased to be sponsor of this event and supporter of Jaylen's goals.  Jaylen is a Lakeland resident.  He and his mother devote a great deal of time and effort in this campaign.  He speaks at local schools and other functions.  For more info go to www.JaylensChallenge.org   (Copy of the Bullying-No Way ribbon).
